Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!

Links to 2 funny Stu Feiner videos over at his site:

Does anyone have Stu's rant on the colts last year after they didnt cover on Monday night against the Titans?? That is an all time favorite?

Here is the link:

He realizes after he made the video that he actually lost the baseball bet too because of the rules on suspended games. He lost it in the next days video!! Here is a link to the next days video:

Stu Feiner is one gross guy, lol:

Stu, what we need is more cowbell:

Christopher Walken: "I was eating in a restaurant in Singapore, and an Asian couple was at the next table, and the guy turned to me and he said, 'Chris, you know what this salad needs?' I said, 'What?' He said, 'More cowbell.'

From Wikipedia:

"More cowbell" is an American pop culture catchphrase originally derived from an April 8, 2000, Saturday Night Live comedy sketch fictionalizing the recording of the song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult. The sketch featured guest host Christopher Walken as fictional music producer Bruce Dickinson (not to be confused with the Iron Maiden singer of the same name, or Jim Dickinson, an actual record producer of the same last name) and Will Ferrell, who wrote the sketch, as fictional cowbell player Gene Frenkle. In the television special Saturday Night Live: 101 Most Unforgettable Moments, this sketch is moment number five.

Transcript of the More Cowbell Skit:

Behind The Music: Blue Oyster Cult

Bruce Dickinson.....Christopher Walken
Eric Bloom.....Chris Parnell
Buck Dharma.....Horatio Sanz
Alan.....Chris Kattan
Bobby.....Jimmy Fallon
Gene Frenkle.....Will Ferrell

Announcer: After a series of staggering defeats, Blue Oyster Cult assembled in the recording studio in late 1976 for a session with famed producer Bruce Dickinson. And, luckily for us, the cameras were rolling.

[ dissolve to recording studio ]

Bruce Dickinson: Alright, guys, I think we're ready to lay this first track down. By the way, my name is Bruce Dickinson. Yes, the Bruce Dickinson. And I gotta tell you: fellas.. you have got what appears to be a dynamite sound!

Eric Bloom: Coming from you, Bruce, that means a lot.

Buck Dharma: Yeah. I mean, you're Bruce Dickinson!

Alan: This is incredible!

Bobby: I can't believe Bruce Dickinson digs our sound!

Bruce Dickinson: Easy, guys.. I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold records. [ the group laughs ] Alright, here we go. "Fear... Don't Fear the Reaper" -- take one. Roll it [ he exits into the control booth ]

Eric Bloom: Alright! One, two, three, four...

[ The group starts the song: "All our times have come…Here but now they're gone..." -- Bobby slaps the drums, Eric jams his guitar, and Gene bangs on a cowbell. ]

Eric Bloom: [ distracted by Gene banging the cowbell ] Okay! Wait! Wait! Stop! [ the group cuts off their instruments ] Um, Bruce, could you come in here for a minute, please?

Bruce Dickinson: [ stepping out of the booth ] That... that was gonna be a great track. Guys, what's the deal?

Eric Bloom: Uh, are you sure that was sounding okay?

Bruce Dickinson: I'll be honest.. fellas, it was sounding great. But.. I could've used a little more cowbell. So.. let's take it again.. and, Gene?

Gene Frenkle: Yeah?

Bruce Dickinson: Really explore the studio space this time.

Gene Frenkle: You got it, Bruce.

Bruce Dickinson: I mean, really.. explore the space. I like what I'm hearing. roll it.

[ the group starts the song again, as Gene bangs more wildly onto the cowbell, gyrating his exposed belly. In the booth, Walken is smiling to keep from laughing. Before the session is interrupted, Gene misses a beat on his cowbell.]

Eric Bloom: Okay, wait! Stop! Stop! Bruce, I'm sorry, could you come back in here, please?

Bruce Dickinson: [ stepping out of the booth ] Fellas.. now, we just wasted two good tracks! This last one was even better than the first!

Eric Bloom: Well, it's just that I find Gene's cowbell playing distracting! I don't know, if I'm the only one, I'll shut up.

Buck Dharma: Nah, it was pretty rough.

Gene Frenkle: You know, I could pull it back a little, if you'd like.

Bruce Dickinson: Not too much, though! I'm telling you, fellas -- you're gonna want that cowbell on the track!

Gene Frenkle: You know what? It's fine. Let's just do the thing.

Bruce Dickinson: Okay, Roll it.

Eric Bloom: One, two, three, four...

[ the band starts the song once more, with Gene banging the cowbell right next to Eric's ear until Eric pushes him, knocking over the microphone and causing Horatio Sanz to fall ]

Eric Bloom: [ stopping the song again, fighting Gene ] COME ON, GENE!!

Gene Frenkle: NO, YOU COME ON!!

Bruce Dickinson: [ running out of the booth again ] Guys, y’ know…that…that…it doesn't work for me. I gotta have more cowbell!

Alan: [ grabs Gene's shirt ] Don't blow this for us, Gene!

Bobby: [ cracks up ] Quit... quit being so selfish, Gene!

Gene Frenkle: Can I just say one thing?

Bruce Dickinson: Sure, baby! Just say it!

Gene Frenkle: I'm standing here, staring at rock legend Bruce Dickinson!

Bruce Dickinson: The cock of the walk, baby!

Gene Frenkle: And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!

Bruce Dickinson: Say it, baby!

Gene Frenkle: And, Bobby, you are right - I am being selfish. But the last time I checked, we don't have a whole lot of songs that feature the cowbell.

Bruce Dickinson: I gotta have more cowbell, baby!

Gene Frenkle: And I'd be doing myself a disservice -- [begins to slightly laugh. Jimmy Fallon turns away and bites down on his drumstick to keep from laughing] and every member of this band, if I didn’t perform the HELL out of this!

Bruce Dickinson: Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!

Gene Frenkle: Thank you, Bruce. But I think if... I think if I just leave... and maybe I'll come back later, and we can lay down the cowbell. [ starts to leave the studio ]

Bruce Dickinson: Aw, come on, baby..

Eric Bloom: Gene, wait! Why don't you lay down that cowbell right now. With us. Together.

[ long pause while Gene looks around at the band ]

Gene Frenkle: Do you mean that, Eric?

Eric Bloom: Oh, yeah.

Buck Dharma: He speaks for all of us.

Gene Frenkle: Thank you.

Bruce Dickinson: Babies.. before we're done here.. y'all be wearing gold-plated diapers.

Alan: [ confused ] What does that mean?

Bruce Dickinson: Never question Bruce Dickinson! Roll it! [ exits back to booth ]

[ Gene picks up the fallen microphone and high-fives the drummer before getting into position ]

Eric Bloom: One, two, three, four...

[ the band starts up again, this time Frenkle is playing the cowbell in tune with the band. Close-up on Gene as he bangs the cowbell to freeze-frame with graphic: "In Memoriam: Gene Frenkle: 1950-2000" ]

Reno Economic Update: What is the Atlantis Casino in Reno worth today? Monarch Casino and Resorts, owner of the Atlantis Casino in Reno has a market value of $78,514,873 based on a closing price yesterday of $4.87 a share with 16,122,848 shares outstanding. $78 million seems a low valuation for the Atlantis, but that is what the stock market is telling us its worth as of yesterday. In 2007, when the share price got to over $30 a share and there were more shares outstanding, the Atlantis was valued at one time at over $557 million. That is a shocking drop of value of over $479 million or 86% in less that two years! The latest financial statements are here. Here is the five year stock chart. According to a news release from February 2008, the company repurchased in open market transactions 523,396 shares of the Company's common stock at a weighted average purchase price of $25.03 per share. What a terrible investment, considering the stock today closed at $4.87 a share. If the Atlantis Casino is only worth $78.5 million, what are the other casinos in Reno worth?

The Utah Utes -4 Over the BYU Cougars Covers 94-88 as the Tuesday Play of the Day - Money Management Lessons From Bobby Clarke Sports

Take the Utah Utes -4 at home over the BYU Cougars as the Tuesday play of the day, 4:00 PM Pacific. Good luck! dshadowknight has now lost two in a row in the NBA, his record is now 17-6. His streak may be ending.

This Is One Tough Way to Make Money Department: We just went to Bobby Clarke Sports today and went to his "day by day results" page which shows his whole record from May 14, 2008 to January 26, 2009. We know Bobby (he is a loyal reader of this blog) and he is a good handicapper and kudos to him for posting his complete record, game by game. More handicappers need to do this. Starting with zero he ran his bankroll up to $15,210 on December 25, 2008. Thats a great Christmas present for his subscribers who pay $150 a month. But the profits have disappeared since then. Since December 25, 2008, Bobby has given all his profits back and now shows a loss of $1,950 (thru January 26) since he started last May. Per his sports monitor, John Werner at Parlay Help, Bobby lost $11,470 in the week of January 12-18, 2009. If you paid Bobby the $150 a month since he appeared on the net and followed his plays as he gave them out, you would be out of pocket over three grand now. If you got his service on Christmas day as a present and started betting the next day, betting exactly as he told you to, your losses are over $17,000 after 32 days.

Lessons we can learn from Bobby:
- Using a dollar amount instead of a percentage of your bankroll can lead to unlimited losses. Since an individual cannot print money (or should not print money) a better way to do it is establish a set bankroll and bet a percentage of that bankroll. You can only lose your starting bankroll that way and know the extent of your possible losses if everything goes wrong. You can bet say 1 to 5 percent of your bankroll on any one game, and limit your total daily loss to say ten percent of your bankroll. You can have some very bad days in sports betting.
- If your handicapper goes on a run, and Bobby had a great run (congratulations to him going from zero to $15,210 profits from May 14 to Dec 25 last year) and you double your money along the way, take your original bankroll off the table along with the cost of the service. Now you are operating on the sports books money. Because as the night follows the day, a bad run follows a good run in sports betting. It happens to all of us. Its streaky.
- If your handicapper loses half your money, stop betting. Wait till the capper gets back on a run. Don't throw good money after bad. Streaks can last a very long time. Its a very common practice for handicappers to try and double up on their bets to get back in profit. Stu Feiner last year gave out six plays on the Lakers in the NBA Championship and lost every one. His bets should of been going down, but instead he doubled up on his bets losing an incredible 7,850,000 dimes.

We hope Bobby gets back in the black and we wish him and his clients the best. Bobby calls himself "The Worlds Most Honest Handicapper." Bobby is honest, but his money management is poor. But money management is the players responsibility. Following the above advice will save you some sleepless nights.

Do People Actually Pay This Guy Department: Stu Feiner released his 10,000 dime (Stu: what happened to your 5 to 100 dime money management system?) High Roller Club Playoff GOY. Stu said it would cover by 3 touchdowns. Here is his video and the pitch for his "biggest play of the year, bet everything you own on it" play. But what was the 10,000 play you ask? Yep, you got it: Carolina. But no worries as The Source had a 2,500 Dime High Roller Club Mismatch play today as well. The problem was it was on Tennessee. Our condolences to Mr. Feiners now bankrupt clients.

Take the Florida Gators -5 over the Oklahoma Sooners as the Thursday play of the day, 5:15 PM Pacific. Good luck!

Some Things Never Change Department: In his video today, Stu Feiner tells his $100 bettors they can bet $5,000 on this game. He says today "this should be the single biggest bet you have ever made in your life." Sad, as the Source gave out the loser, the Oklahoma Sooners. Reminds us of when Stu lost 7,850,000 dimes by doubling down six times on the LA Lakers playing against the Boston Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals. After that disaster, Stu said he was going to rate plays between 5 and 100 dimes. But unfortunately for his hapless clients, Stu is not holding his bets in that range.

Nevada -21 at home over Utah State, 1:00 PM Pacific
Colorado - 3 at home over Kansas State, 4:00 PM Pacific

"Bet the Board" Brian will not be giving us any NFL plays Sunday, as he is over in Thailand now spending his winnings. Hell of a time to be going to Thailand - Brian took $600 and ran it up to $8,000 since the start of NFL season. Brian, we know you are partying over there but give us a call, we need some input for Sunday - we will reverse the charges.

Friday we like Boise State -24 at home over Hawaii, 5:00 PM Pacific. The Warriors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Friday games while the Broncos are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Friday games.

The above four Saturday games and one Friday game have already been released to our sports monitor. Remember, if a handicappers record is not monitored, it may not be real.

Also, I am going to the game tonite, I am 12-0 at Pickle Park, Every game that I have gone to at Heinz Field the Steelers have won and covered.. tonite will be #13 in a row" Lets hope the Chicken is right, we worry because every tout and his brother has the Steelers tonight.
