Rick, "3-1 and we still lost money" Lol I guess thats what I was getting at the other day and why I play the same amount every game. Not trying to say which way is better (Teired v Flat betting) but I just think it is hard enough to pick winners at 55-58% let alone figure which ones have a better chance to win. Also I was wondering do you follow Bill Cannon plays only or do you use a consesus of others plus your own capping.
Right now we are following Cannon's plays and Gold Key. We use Cannons rating's on the games (5 dime or more) and use gold key releases as 10 dimers (2% of the bankroll). We were adding plays before and that was working some, such as games of the year. We are getting these plays from a friend of mine who has been very successful following Cannon and the Gold Key releases. Check Cannon's website and you can see how well he has done the past few months. Plus Cannon is very honest, tells it like it is.
Your system is great. Your success is like in the one in a hundred category. Keep it up as it is working for you. Have you ever thought of using a percentage, instead of a set amount? When you get up high enough, taking your original investment off the table and using your profits to plow ahead? That might be more riskier, but you would have exponential returns up to a point (the point being not being able to bet that large amount of money.)
One thing about using 2% of the bankroll per 10 dimes and using less plays (which i am trying to do now), we will never go broke. And starting with $5,000 is an amount we can afford to lose. We are up 32% since March 26, 2007, which is when we started. That is 15 days. That works out to a 779% annual rate of return. Its hard to believe we can achieve that. But your record gives us some hope.
By the way, we really appreciate your comments. We are trying to learn here. We got no ads and are not planning to sell anything to anybody.
Michael Cannon is up 645.5 Dimes over the last 42 days. Its hard to find a better record than that. Using 2% of the bankroll per 10 dimes, you can see that you would of about quadrupled your funds over those 42 days. My friend got kicked out of one local casino, cause he made so much money. They were giving him comps but he would not play anything but sports. They did not appreciate his action. And all he did was follow Cannon and Gold Key, using the Dime Money Mangagement System.
For now Cannon is hot, if he cools down we will find another handicapper or handicappers. You are a one in a hundred like we said before, no parlays....and are using solid money management and trying to learn more. We like your style.
Rick, I'm kind of like you looking for the best way manage the BR w/o going broke. It is amazing how many people panic and bet more when they get on a bad streak (Gamblers Ruin) For you it would be interesting to go back and look at what your profit would have been had you invested 165/150 or 3% of original BR on each play insteaded of various amts. I started with 10k and used 3% (330/300) on each play. I friend of mine (Pat Charles) had a computer program we used for CBB only. Overall I went 249-181 with his program and I posted all the plays on atstalk so it is all documented there. Of course my problem is I have it in my OS account and I am still playing on my own and I have been winning but I am still playing only 300 per play or less than 1.5% of my new BR. SO I guess thats my question when do you think it best to bump up my plays becausr in theory I should be playing 700 per game.
