Handicapper Update: Phil Steele lost another two of his top three NFL preseason games yesterday and Bookie Basher increased his losses to over 650 dimes for the week. Northcoast has a Marquee play today on the Colts -5 1/2 over the Bills. Results: Phil's Colts pick lost outright 7-20. Colts have a record of losing preseason football. So why would Phil pick them? Nobody could deliberately give out as many losing sides as Phil Steele has this preseason....get another profession Phil...this one is not working out. Wouldn't you hate to be a new customer of the Basher starting this week or someone new taking Phil Steele's preseason plays, ouch! Folks, rule one: NEVER PAY FOR A PICK!
THIS JUST IN...there is a rumor that the Bookie Basher has had his handicapping license pulled. Nevada Handicapping Commission Chairman Stuart H. Feiner reports it was because he "was chasing losses." Commissioner Jim Feist said, "We can't believe what happened. He has no idea how to run a boiler room operation." Commissioner Brian King commented on Chairman Feiner winning 350 dimes yesterday and about his winning record this week - "We won. We got the job done. Now, listen, listen, listen. We told the Basher to stop with the video, we were tired at looking at his sorry excuses. If he loses again next week, we will know he is toast. We may order him to take some remedial handicapping and money management training immediately. But he could turn out to be the greatest gambler since Nick the Greek was in town." We did call the Bookie Basher early this morning and left him our Marlin's pick on his answering machine. We told him to give out a 700 Dime pick on it. Note: The Nevada Handicapping Commission is not an agency of the State of Nevada.

"Going to the bathroom during a poker or a dice game is a mistake. You might miss a hot hand worth a hundred thousand, and nothing in the bathroom is worth that much."
"Luck! There is such a thing, and I know that there is, because it comes in two kinds. Good and bad."
"The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing."

"Nick the Greek" died penniless on Christmas day 1966. It's estimated that he won and lost over $500 million in his lifetime. He himself claimed that he went from rags to riches over 73 times. Such is the life of a professional gambler.

Don't forget Kevin Duffy. Uncle Stu booted 2 of his regular handicappers to make room for Nephew Kev.
