Oh F**k! We Lose! : Angels -154 With Lackey Listed at Home Over the Twins Lose 1-2 as the Thursday Play of the Day

Take the LA Angels -154 with John Lackey listed as pitcher at home over the Minnesota Twins as the Thursday play of the day, 7:05 PM Pacific. Good luck!

Angels are 12-2 in Lackey's last fourteen starts. The Angels have beat Twins pitcher Scott Baker the last 3 times they've faced him: winning 10-1, 5-1, 6-3, while pounding him for 17 earned runs in just 15 innings pitched.

August Handicapping Disappointment: What the hell happened with Phil Steele of Northcoast Sports? He is usually pretty decent in preseason football but he sucks this year. As an example tonight he gave out the under in the 49ers/Bears game, an easy over, hell it was over at half time. What are you smoking there Phil? Steele is 5-11-1 on Marquee plays this preseason. Phil wants $3,800 for the executive service? If we gave him a nickel we would be the one smoking something. Phil's plays are posted for free on several forums, why we would pay for anything? But even getting his picks free, the way he has been handicapping we are gonna still be a big loser.

Small Town Handicapper Corner: After posting comments on U-Tube and having my comments immediately deleted, I had a short email exchange with one Bobby Clarke. He might be able to delete my comments from his U-Tube posts, but its pure free speech here. Now Bobby has a sports handicapping service called Bobby Clarke Sports. After comparing his very ethical operation, that he is running out of some small town back east, to the big city Farmingdale NY Stu Fiener's boiler room, I see some deficiencies in Mr. Clarke's operation. Namely:

1. He is monitored by the affable John Werner over at ParlayHelp.com. Bobby, how are you gonna lie about your record when you are being monitored?

2. Mr. Clarke only offers a few plays a day and has no clubs or other handicappers. How can you pick and choose to come up with the best record if you got no clubs Bobby, what are you thinking?

3. He posts his complete record of every play from day one to tonight on his website and shows the exact amount of money he is betting on each game instead of the Dime system like the Source Stu Fiener, aka Finer uses. Using real money Bobby? - hey that makes too much sense, where did you get that idea?

4. Bobby is charging $350 for the rest of the year in all sports and he serves up no hype or hard sell. His operation is very ethical. His parents must of sent him to Sunday School when he was young. I wonder if the Source went to Sunday School? Bobby must be from a small town charging so little, hell Stu Feiner charges $59.95 for his picks for a day and then hypes the hell out of them so his hapless clients overbet, all to line his fat pockets. Now our motto is NEVER PAY FOR A PICK, but i guess if you had to....Mr. Clarke's deal might be the best in town. (Hey if you buy his picks, at least post them here every day as a comment.)

Bobby Clarke looks like he is too young to drink but he seems to like beer where it appears Stu Feiner likes his grasshopper ganja and food. Bobby made a comment on his video that impressed us today....never take the run line on the favorite in a baseball game. When we walked into our favorite local legal sports book tonight, we heard the refrain: Take the Angels run line! BS we said! Take a look at all the games that won by one point today. For a small town guy, this Bobby Clarke might not be so dumb after all. At least he is winning. Maybe its all that fresh air and good beer.

His video for today:
